On November 4, 2015, the Scanio family lost a true patriarch.  Jimmie Scanio, lifelong Tampa resident, loved his family above all else, and lived for them.  He had a passion for fishing, which led to the creation of Southeastern Fishing Tackle with his sons.  His vision has become a successful and charitable business for more than 40 years.  

 

In honor of Jimmie, and the legacy he left behind, the FOOT Foundation is establishing the Jimmie Scanio Fishing Fund.  These donations will be used specifically to help children with special needs enjoy the true peace and enjoyment of fishing in our beautiful climate.  Jimmie had a soft spot for children with special needs and loved to help how he could.
